Understanding Borderline Personalities in Family Law Cases

This webinar will provide basic information about borderline personality disorder, including their wide mood swings as clients, their intense rage against former partners, and desperate clinging to their children.  They have predictable parenting behavior and frequent custody battles. Their predictable court and negotiation patterns will be addressed, as well as ways to spot them early in a case for better management and outcomes. Hopeful treatments will also be addressed.

Dealing with Borderline Personalities in Family Law Cases

This webinar will address ways of managing borderline personalities as clients and as opposing parties, in family court, and in negotiations and mediation. Case examples will be presented of dealing with borderline personalities in and out of court, including abusive behavior and false allegations, as well as handling continuing conflicts after court decisions have been made.

Bill Eddy

Megan Hunter

Megan Hunter, MBA, is an author, speaker, and expert on high-conflict disputes. She is co-founder of the High Conflict Institute along with author and speaker, Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esq. who developed the high-conflict personality theory. Megan developed the concept of the Institute after 13 years in family law as the Family Law Specialist with the Arizona Supreme Court, and Child Support Manager of the Dawes County Attorney’s Office in Nebraska. She is CEO of Unhooked Media, a U.S.-based media company focused on relationship and conflict revolution through print, digital and the spoken word.
